Entry 2

* Are there are any current situations in the world that relate to the novel? What are they, and how do they relate? Does the novel shed any light on how current situations could be resolved or "fixed"?

Yes, I think it is current situations in the world and it happen to me as well. It is age. In Korea age is very important. You show deep respect to elders. Like Ender and I had to respect our brothers and obey is word. It was like being slave and working for him. Always kicking and doing horrible things to us and later, say that they were sorry. Also Ender's feeling was same like me. I exactly knew what he had felt in certain momments. I was not Third and he was, but we both had older brother who bother and annoyed his little brother. Around the world lots of kid will be annoyed because of their older brother. Then they will know what Ender and I had felt and they will also have similar experience.
The book doesn't really show how to resolved the situations, but you have to look for the meaning order to resolved the situations.

Hey~~
Wow...I never noticed such a detail in the book like that and related it to the world we live in today. Great job noticing it! I believe, however, that Ender's situation is slightly different from the society we live in(respecting older people) because Ender obeyed Peter out of pure fear while we do it out of etiquette.
However, I do agree that older siblings tend to annoy us younger ones (although not as violently as Peter, eh?). :)

Have a great rest of the break!

Hey nice work. I really like your idea of "respecting the older people". Do you respect your older brother?(just asking;;;;) However I think in Ender's Game didn't really show respect that much. It was more like a survival strategy not a respect(you know you have to act like your respecting so you won't get hurt).
Also I don't think Ender really didn't respec Peter. He thought peter as a violent brother who is somewhat mental. Therefore I don't think this book showed repect that much. Well this is my opinon.
See ya
